A new research report from VerifyInvestor.com, powered by tZERO Group Inc., indicates that accredited investors are poised to deploy significant capital in the coming months, with a notable and growing interest in tokenized securities. The Accredited Investor Outlook 2026, based on a survey of over 200 verified accredited investors conducted in April 2026, reveals that more than three-quarters (77%) of respondents plan to make an investment within the next six months, and nearly half expect to do so within three months.
Real estate (66%) and private equity/venture capital (61%) remain the most popular investment categories, but digital asset securities attracted interest from 27% of respondents, surpassing infrastructure, hedge funds, and energy-focused investments. This interest is particularly striking given that only 11% of respondents described themselves as very familiar with tokenized securities, suggesting that education—not demand—is the primary barrier to broader adoption.
The survey also sheds light on the decision-making criteria of accredited investors. While expected returns ranked highest (70%), other factors such as management quality (50.5%), downside protection and risk mitigation (49%), and sponsor track record (48.5%) were nearly as important. Liquidity potential ranked among the lowest criteria at 18%, indicating a willingness to commit to longer-duration opportunities when fundamentals are strong.
