Andina Copper Expands High-Grade Porphyry Mineralization at Cobrasco Project

Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has announced exceptional assay results from drillhole CDH006 at the Cobrasco Project in Chocó, Colombia, further expanding the known porphyry copper-molybdenum mineralization system. The hole, collared approximately 400 meters northwest of previous drill pads, returned 486 meters at 0.42% copper, 51 ppm molybdenum, and 1.20 g/t silver, including a higher-grade interval of 232 meters at 0.68% copper, 75 ppm molybdenum, and 2.0 g/t silver from 38 meters depth.

This discovery underscores the continuity and expansion potential of the Cobrasco Central mineralization. The mineralized footprint now covers a lateral extent of approximately 950 by 525 meters, remaining open in all directions. Two additional step-out holes, CDH007 and CDH008, have been completed from the same drill platform, targeting northeast and north extensions, with assays pending.

Joseph van den Elsen, President and CEO of Andina Copper, commented: "Every scout drillhole completed to-date has intersected significant intervals of Cu-Mo mineralization, further extending the mineralization footprint. This footprint now covers an area of at least 950 by 525 meters within the emerging Cobrasco Central mineralization." He added that the company plans to continue broadly spaced scout drilling to define limits and test new targets, while preparing for a second drill rig to support definition and in-fill drilling.

Drillhole CDH006 was designed to test the northwest extension of the system, intersecting near-surface mineralization at 38 meters within weathered saprolite and continuing through multiple anomalous intervals in rhyodacitic porphyries to a faulted contact at 808 meters. The upper 270 meters contained the highest grades, associated with magmatic brecciation and intense quartz-sulphide veining. The company noted that structural controls played a key role, with shearing and brecciation enhancing permeability and resulting in higher grades.

Previous drillhole CDH005, a large step-out to the south, also returned wide intervals of moderate-grade mineralization in a new intermediate porphyry unit, opening broad areas for exploration in the southern portions of the concession. The Cobrasco Project is located along the prolific Andean copper belt, and Andina Copper holds additional discoveries in Argentina and Chile.

Francisco Montes, a qualified person under NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical information. The company follows strict QAQC protocols, with samples sent to ALS Laboratories in Medellin and Lima for analysis.
