The City of Boerne is gearing up for a busy 2026 with a diverse lineup of classic car shows and automotive events that celebrate everything from vintage tractors to European motors. The calendar, announced Tuesday, includes the return of annual favorites such as the Power of the Past, the Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show, and the Hill Country Mile Rod Run, as well as European-focused gatherings like the Italian Motor Gathering and German Motor Gathering.
Boerne’s car culture events are designed to appeal to collectors, enthusiasts, and families alike. Many events are free for spectators and feature live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. Proceeds from several shows support local charities, including SJRC Texas, a nonprofit serving children and families. According to Tori Bellos, Marketing Specialist at Visit Boerne, these events are about more than just cars: they are celebrations of community, history, and Texas pride.
The 2026 season kicks off March 7 with the Power of the Past, a vintage car, engine, and tractor show at The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the event, which includes live music, reenactors, food vendors, and awards for Top 30 Vehicles and Best in Show Car and Truck. On March 28, the seventh annual Italian Motor Gathering will take place at Main Plaza, open to all Italian marques and free for spectators.
April 18 features the 33rd annual Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show on Main Street, expected to draw nearly 500 Corvettes and classic vehicles. The event includes live music, food trucks, and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting SJRC Texas. Also on April 18, the first of three Black Rifle Block Parties kicks off, hosted by Black Rifle Coffee Company with additional dates on July 4 and September 26. These community events include live music, food, and a car show.
October brings a trio of notable events. The Hill Country Mile Rod Run, hosted by Cibolo Creek Motor Club from October 2-4, is open to all American cars, trucks, and motorcycles from 1985 and older. On October 24, the South Texas All British Car Day will showcase British-made automobiles at Main Plaza. Finally, October 31 features the German Motor Gathering, the premier exhibition of German motoring in the Texas Hill Country, open to all German marques on two or four wheels and free for spectators.
Vehicle registration, schedules, and parking maps are available on the Boerne Calendar of Events page at Boerne Calendar of Events. The events are part of Boerne’s broader appeal as a historic Hill Country destination, known for its charming downtown, local businesses, and strong sense of community.
