ClimateDoor Acquires Standard Demand Partners, Expanding Into the United States

ClimateDoor, a growth partner for energy, agriculture and critical resource companies, has acquired the New York capital advisory firm Standard Demand Partners in its first acquisition and its expansion into the United States. This acquisition marks ClimateDoor's largest expansion to date, cementing its transition from a Vancouver commercialization practice into a global firm supporting energy, agriculture, and resource companies across six continents. Operating with regional teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil, and Kenya, ClimateDoor also leads European market entry initiatives and First Nations co-development through its sister organization, Unify Partners.

The thesis behind the deal is one ClimateDoor has held since it was founded: companies in these sectors rarely stall just on technology. They stall on commercialization and capital, the same problem at different stages. ClimateDoor has focused on the earlier end, embedding inside companies to build the commercial evidence that makes them fundable and raising grants and venture-stage investment against it. Standard Demand Partners brings the later end: project finance and institutional capital. The merged entity now offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution.

"A founder who arrives at ClimateDoor at the seed stage can now stay with one partner through a later raise and into project finance, without rebuilding capital relationships at every stage," said Chad Rickaby, CEO of ClimateDoor. "That continuity is the point. Wherever a company is based, the capital it needs is rarely in the same place, and our job is to close that distance."

Co-founders Conor Wilmot and Liam Howe built Standard Demand Partners into a capital advisory that has supported more than 50 companies and holds relationships with over 750 institutional investors across project finance and growth equity. What made the firm the right fit was not the pipeline alone. It was how they work.

"Conor and Liam built a serious capital practice in a remarkably short time, and they built it the way we would have. Inside the business, doing the commercial work, not sitting above it," said Nick Findler, Co-founder of ClimateDoor. "Bringing that quality of capital access to our clients around the world was not an opportunity we were going to pass up."

"We spent four months getting to know this team and kept arriving at the same conclusion," said Conor Wilmot, Partner at ClimateDoor and co-founder of Standard Demand Partners. "They think about companies the way we do, from inside the business rather than across a table from it. Our clients need what both firms do, and now they can get it from one team."

Wilmot and Howe join ClimateDoor's partner team. Standard Demand Partners is retiring as a brand, and the two firms will now operate as one company. The combined team makes its first public appearance at New York Climate Week in September, where ClimateDoor will host an evening event for founders and investors.

The combined firm offers a single continuous relationship from early pilots to project finance, eliminating the need to rebuild investor relationships at each growth stage. It builds the exact revenue, offtake, and partnership evidence required for fundability while simultaneously raising capital against those milestones. With access to over 750 investor relationships across project finance and growth equity, it supports companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

At close, the combined firm has supported over 150 companies across energy, agriculture and critical resources, facilitated over $600 million in capital across grants, venture and growth equity, and holds more than 750 institutional investor relationships. It operates offices in Vancouver and New York, with dedicated teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil and Kenya, and uses proprietary AI technology built to support clients' capital, grants, and sales growth.
