Dragon Con's 40th Anniversary Celebrates with Local Spirits from Atlanta Distillery

As Dragon Con marks its 40th anniversary, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Distillery is commemorating the milestone with two locally-made products: Dragon Con Vodka and Dragon Con Apple Pie Craft Cider. The Marietta-based distillery returns as the Official Vodka of Dragon Con for the second consecutive year, while the new cider expands the collaboration for 2026. Both products will be available throughout the convention footprint in downtown Atlanta from September 3 to 7, offering fans a taste of local craftsmanship.

“We make everything in Marietta, so there's something special about welcoming Dragon Con fans with products made right here,” said Mark Deno, founder of Atlanta Distillery. “This partnership lets us share a little more of Atlanta with people coming from all over the world.”

The products will be featured at several official Dragon Con hotels and venues. At the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, guests can find them at the Lobby Market, seven branded satellite bars, and Twenty-Two Storys Lobby Bar, where a specialty cocktail called The 1986 will be available. The Hilton Atlanta will offer both products at The MarketPlace, including a Dragon Con Bundle with a 750 mL bottle of vodka and four Filthy Bloody Mary pouches. Trader Vic's will host a tasting and promotion Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring a cocktail with Dragon Con Vodka and Red Bull Energy Drink. The Westin Peachtree Plaza will serve cocktails and cider at Bar 210, with the cider also offered through room service. The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown and Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery will also feature the products.

Beyond hotel bars, Dragon Con events will incorporate the spirits. The Red Phone Booth will transform into a Doctor Who-inspired experience, with a collectible comic-book-style cocktail menu featuring Dragon Con Vodka, Apple Pie Cider, and Short Barrel's Dragon Con Whiskey across four venues. The Dragon Con Cigar Group Kickoff on Thursday will feature specialty cocktails and giveaways, while a Parade Watch Party and Disco Breakfast on Saturday will offer more opportunities to enjoy the drinks.

Fans can also purchase the products to take home from participating retailers such as Peachtree Package Store, Sol's Liquor, Green's on Ponce, Publix at Piedmont, and Kroger. Online ordering is available at DragonConSpirits.com through September 30, while supplies last.

This local collaboration underscores the economic and cultural impact of Dragon Con on Atlanta, as the convention draws thousands of visitors who contribute to the city's hospitality and retail sectors. By featuring locally-produced spirits, the partnership highlights the city's growing craft beverage industry and enhances the fan experience with a sense of place.
