ESGold Corp. Advances Toward Drill Program and Mill Construction at Montauban Project

ESGold Corp. (CSE: ESAU) (OTCQB: ESAUF) is advancing toward the May start of a drill program expected to further define priority targets on its 20,618-hectare Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Quebec. The company is simultaneously working to construct a fully permitted mill on site and expand the scope of its exploration, according to a news release.

ESGold is employing a low CapEx strategy that includes funding from a private placement initiative and an agreement with Ocean Partners UK Ltd. that provides a credit facility and a dedicated buyer of gold and silver produced from its planned tailings cleanup operation. This approach positions the company to benefit from current market conditions, as gold has effectively doubled in value since January 2025 and is expected to remain at near-record levels in the coming months.

“We are fully funded to execute on this plan, and our focus is on disciplined execution across both development and exploration as we move through what we believe will be a very important period for the company,” ESGold CEO Gordon Robb stated in the news release.

The Montauban project, located in Quebec, is a key asset for ESGold as it transitions toward near-term production. The drill program will target high-priority zones identified through previous exploration, aiming to expand the resource base. Concurrently, mill construction efforts are underway to process material from both the tailings cleanup and future mining operations.

The agreement with Ocean Partners UK Ltd. not only provides a credit facility but also secures a buyer for the gold and silver produced, reducing market risk. This arrangement, combined with the private placement, ensures ESGold has the necessary capital to execute its plans without diluting shareholder value excessively.

Market conditions remain favorable for gold producers, with prices supported by ongoing economic uncertainty and strong demand. ESGold's low-capital-expenditure approach allows it to ramp up production efficiently, potentially generating cash flow quickly. The company's focus on both development and exploration provides a balanced strategy for growth.

ESGold's progress at Montauban is being closely watched by investors, as the drill program and mill construction represent significant milestones. The company's ability to execute on its plans will be critical in determining its success in the current gold market.
