The partnership will allow drivers to obtain regular battery health checks, providing transparency and confidence when buying or selling a used EV. Additionally, routine checks will enable the industry to compare different battery technologies, such as solid-state batteries being developed by QuantumScape Corp. (NYSE: QS) with traditional lithium-ion batteries and other novel battery types entering the market.
