Fitzroy Minerals Intersects Wide Zones of Shallow Copper Mineralization at Buen Retiro, Chile

Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (TSXV: FTZ, OTCQX: FTZFF, FSE: C3Y) has released results from 15 drill holes at the Tenorita area of its Buen Retiro Copper Project in Copiapo, Chile. The drilling confirms wide zones of copper mineralization in leachable material close to surface, with notable intercepts including 111.9 meters at 0.97% copper from 21.1 meters in hole BRT-DDH072, and 147.7 meters at 0.41% copper from 26.3 meters in hole BRT-DDH070. These results extend the known mineralization across approximately 300 meters east-west in the south-central portion of Tenorita.

The company currently operates four drill rigs at the site, with three diamond drills and one reverse circulation rig. Drilling is focused on advancing the Tenorita area to Measured, Indicated, and Inferred resource categories to support a robust mine-life for inclusion in the Pre-Feasibility Study. Additional aims include defining Inferred resources elsewhere on the property and testing new exploration targets. Fitzroy has completed 78 diamond drill holes totaling 13,036 meters since February 2026, with plans for a further 9,000 meters in 2026.

Merlin Marr-Johnson, President and CEO of Fitzroy, stated: “Buen Retiro continues to deliver excellent results and several of the fifteen drill holes reported today reflect wide zones of mineralization in leachable material close to surface. Note that the best drill hole reported today, drill hole #72, is to the east of drill hole #70, confirming consistent shallow mineralization for about 300 metres across the widest part of the Tenorita area.”

Drill hole BRT-DDH072 returned 111.9 meters at 0.97% copper from 21.1 meters, including three sub-intervals: 19 meters at 1.50% copper from 32 meters, 18 meters at 1.59% copper from 84 meters, and 18 meters at 1.91% copper from 111 meters. Drill hole BRT-DDH070 returned 147.7 meters at 0.41% copper from 26.3 meters, including 47 meters at 0.88% copper from 113 meters and 27 meters at 1.20% copper from 133 meters. These results, along with previously reported holes such as BRT-DDH027 (133 meters at 0.46% copper) and BRT-DDH058 (75 meters at 0.82% copper), demonstrate the continuity of mineralization.

The company has implemented rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures, including the insertion of blanks, standards, and pulp duplicates representing about 12% of total samples. Samples are processed at ALS-Patagonia laboratory in Copiapo, and the Qualified Person has verified the data. Dr. Scott Jobin-Bevans (P.Geo., Ph.D., PMP), an independent geological consultant, has reviewed and approved the technical information.

These results are significant as they support Fitzroy’s stated aim of production in early 2028. The shallow, leachable nature of the mineralization could potentially reduce mining costs and processing complexity. The company’s focus on advancing Buen Retiro toward a pre-feasibility study underscores its commitment to developing the project as a near-term copper producer.
