U.S. Term Limits announced today that former State Representative Linda Massimilla has agreed to serve as New Hampshire State Co-Chair for the organization, joining former State Senate President Chuck Morse. Massimilla, a longtime supporter of congressional term limits, brings extensive public service experience to the role. She emphasized the growing bipartisan support for term limits, noting that polls show over 80% of Americans favor enacting them to address governmental dysfunction.
In her new capacity, Massimilla will work alongside Morse to advance term limits legislation in New Hampshire. She highlighted the constitutional amendment process as a tool for states to reform the federal government when it fails to serve the people. U.S. Term Limits President Philip Blumel expressed confidence in Massimilla and Morse's leadership to pass a term limits resolution in the state.
Massimilla, who served as a state representative for Grafton 1, has a background as an elementary school teacher and adjunct faculty at Plymouth State University. She has received recognition for her work on child sex trafficking legislation and veterans' issues, including a Women of Excellence Award from the National Foundation of Women Legislators and the Pollyanna Signature Award from her hometown of Littleton.
The appointment underscores the growing momentum behind the term limits movement, which seeks to limit the number of terms members of Congress can serve. U.S. Term Limits, the largest grassroots term limits advocacy group in the country, continues to mobilize support across states to push for a constitutional amendment.
