The Fulcrum Group, a managed IT services provider based in Keller, Texas, has announced a partnership with CyberQP, a developer of cybersecurity and automation solutions, to bolster Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance and security for public safety agencies in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The collaboration aims to address evolving security requirements under CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, which mandates stricter controls over service accounts and access management.
Through this partnership, The Fulcrum Group will deploy CyberQP’s QGuard and QDesk solutions to automate password rotation, enable real-time auditing, and strengthen protection against insider and external threats. These measures directly target service account vulnerabilities, which the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report identifies as a common attack vector due to weak or unmanaged credentials. By integrating these tools with its STARpower IT framework, The Fulcrum Group seeks to improve response times for sensitive requests, such as password resets for field personnel and patrol units, while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
“Public safety organizations depend on reliable, compliant technology to protect our communities,” said Steve Meek, CEO of The Fulcrum Group, in a press release. “This partnership helps them meet CJIS requirements while making secure access simpler and faster—without sacrificing protection.” The initiative reinforces the company’s mission to deliver “One Technology Solution: Yours,” focusing on security, compliance, and responsive IT support.
CyberQP’s platform, backed by SOC 2 Type 2 certification, provides privileged access management and end-user access management capabilities. Mateo Barraza, CEO of CyberQP, emphasized that CJIS compliance goes beyond checklist requirements, delivering real-world security for critical infrastructure. The partnership positions The Fulcrum Group to better serve its municipal and law enforcement clients, which operate under some of the most stringent security standards governing justice organizations.
The Fulcrum Group, established over 20 years ago, serves healthcare, manufacturing, local government, and nonprofit sectors across Texas. For more information about The Fulcrum Group, visit fulcrumgroup.net. For details on CyberQP’s solutions, see cyberqp.com.
