Golden Cariboo Nears Completion of Inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine

VANCOUVER, BC - September 8, 2026 - Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE:GCC) (OTC:GCCFF) (WKN:A402CQ) (FSE:3TZ) announced that independent consultants are finalizing the company's inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property. Located approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) northeast of Hixon, British Columbia, the property has been the focus of extensive drilling and exploration programs. The MRE will provide the first formal quantification of gold mineralization outlined to date, including historical exploration data, and will be released upon receipt of the independent NI 43-101 technical report.

This milestone represents the culmination of years of exploration work. Frank Callaghan, President and CEO, stated, "Every drill hole, every assay result and every geological breakthrough has expanded our understanding of the Halo, North Hixon and Main zones. We are now approaching the point where all of that work will be consolidated into a single independent resource model, providing the first comprehensive technical snapshot of the project and our first step towards the next phase of development."

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is strategically positioned along a favourable geological corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults, spanning 94,899 hectares (234,501 acres). It is bordered by Osisko Gold Group and partly intertwined with their Cariboo Gold Project, which lies to the north. Historically, the area has produced over 101 placer gold creeks along a 90-kilometer trend, from the Cariboo Hudson mine to the Quesnelle property, with placer mining continuing to this day.

The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865, which has been developed over a footprint of about 150m x 150m (less than 6 acres) at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek. Geological similarities have been noted with the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, located 120 km southeast along the same trend. As a sediment-hosted vein (SHV) deposit, Spanish Mountain belongs to the epizonal orogenic subclass, which includes world-class deposits such as Muruntau in Uzbekistan and Bendigo in Australia.

The release of the MRE is a critical step for Golden Cariboo as it transitions from exploration to potential development. Stakeholders will gain valuable insights into the project's resource base, which will inform future mining decisions and investment. The company has not provided a specific date for the MRE release but expects it to follow the completion of the technical report.
