Greenland Mines Secures Government Approval for Sarfartoq Rare Earths License Transfer

Greenland Mines Ltd (NASDAQ: GRML) announced that the Government of Greenland, through the Ministry of Business and Mineral Resources, has formally approved the indirect transfer of Mineral Exploration License MEL 2020-32 covering the Sarfartoq Carbonatite Complex from Neo Performance Materials Inc. to Greenland Mines. This approval satisfies a key regulatory closing condition for the company's previously announced acquisition of the Sarfartoq Neodymium-Praseodymium (Nd-Pr) Rare Earths Project.

The Sarfartoq project holds a historic NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate and Preliminary Economic Assessment, backed by over 15 years of exploration, more than 23,000 meters of drilling, and extensive metallurgical test work and environmental baseline studies. This project, alongside Greenland Mines' flagship Skaergaard palladium-gold-platinum project, forms the foundation of the company's North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor strategy.

This approval is a significant milestone for Greenland Mines as it moves forward with the acquisition, which positions the company to become a key player in the rare earths supply chain. With the global push towards clean energy and electric vehicles, the demand for neodymium and praseodymium—critical components for permanent magnets—is expected to surge. By securing this project, Greenland Mines aims to contribute to diversifying the supply chain away from current dominant producers.

The company's strategy is centered on building a multi-asset platform with exposure to rare earth magnet materials, precious metals, and selected midstream processing opportunities, while advancing its broader North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor vision linking Greenland resources with allied downstream jurisdictions and industrial infrastructure. This approval is a crucial step in executing that vision.
