The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host its annual August events from 13 to 17 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the theme “Live Well.Stay Well”. The five fairs—Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, Home Delights Expo, Food Expo PRO, and Hong Kong International Tea Fair—will bring together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences.
This year’s events mark a significant expansion in international participation. For the first time, the trade fairs will feature exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, including debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste. New exhibitors from Colombia and Greece also join, reflecting Hong Kong’s role as a global trading hub. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, leveraging Hong Kong as a gateway to international markets.
Food Expo PRO introduces a new “Meat Zone” in response to growing demand for premium meats, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue products and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a local Hong Kong brand. The “Coffee Zone” expands with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. The “Food Science and Technology Zone” highlights alternative foods and intelligent food-service robots, while the Food Tech Symposium will explore technological innovations in the food industry.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair, fully open to both trade buyers and the public, showcases rare teas including first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud pu'er from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions feature matcha from Guizhou and Zhejiang, and Yixing purple clay teaware. The “Tea Lifestyle” zone introduces innovative products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, demonstrating tea culture’s integration into modern living. The Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will discuss the internationalization of Chinese tea brands.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo debuts the “Stay Relax” zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated wellness balms, alongside the popular “Scentsation” zone featuring the Xuelei Fragrance Museum’s interactive experience. The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with the Sleep Health Association’s “Go Sleep Exp” and HKT’s smart home discounts up to 70%.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products, expanded to three days, will bring together over 30 experts from 11 countries to discuss regulatory policies and global pathways for traditional medicine. The conference, held in hybrid format, supports Hong Kong’s role in advancing Chinese medicine internationally.
Public engagement is enhanced through themed days like “Happy Eat Happy Life” and “Coffee or Tea”, featuring celebrity chef demonstrations, wellness seminars, and horticultural therapy workshops. The Food Expo’s Gourmet Zone celebrates its 15th edition with 15 chefs and a commemorative recipe book. A dedicated “Multi-Facet of Chinese Medicines” display and public forum will educate visitors on traditional medicine.
To mark HKTDC’s 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for 600 visitors daily, “6”-themed offers, and lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. E-tickets are available through various platforms, and morning and evening admission tickets offer reduced rates. These events underscore Hong Kong’s position as a premier destination for trade and lifestyle experiences, fostering business opportunities and promoting wellness trends.
