The third edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest, presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and spearheaded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, is set to take place from September 1 to 14. This two-week event will bring together over 300 local and international design entities across various cultural landmarks and stylish design spaces in Hong Kong, showcasing the city's exceptional appeal as Asia's fashion capital.
The festival, now in its third year, aims to propel the creativity and aesthetics of emerging designers from Hong Kong and abroad onto the global stage. In collaboration with six industry organisations, the event will feature eight flagship programmes covering haute couture, city-wide pop-up stores, cross-regional menswear, sustainable design forums, modern denim culture, and more.
The eight flagship programmes include the opening programme "VIRTUOSE: The Artistry of Couture 2026", the citywide fashion pop-up "Wear's HK", the international fashion showcase and trade platform CENTRESTAGE, "Future Threads: Menswear's New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong", "Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2026", "Hong Kong Fashion Fest Gala 2026", "Fashion Asia Hong Kong 2026", and the "5th Hong Kong Denim Festival". Each programme is designed to highlight different facets of the fashion industry, from high-end craftsmanship to sustainable practices and emerging trends.
The significance of this event extends beyond the runway. It underscores Hong Kong's strategic position as a cultural and creative hub in Asia, reinforcing its status as an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange. The festival not only provides a platform for designers to showcase their work but also fosters cross-sectoral collaboration and promotes the industrialisation of the arts, culture, and creative sectors. According to the organisers, the event aims to create a conducive environment for the growth of the fashion industry, nurturing talent and facilitating start-ups, which are key priorities for the CCIDA.
Admission to all public exhibitions at the festival will be free, allowing fashion enthusiasts and the general public to experience the city's vibrant creativity and energy. The festival is expected to draw significant local and international attention, further enhancing Hong Kong's reputation as a fashion destination.
