At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, Huawei Cloud announced a comprehensive suite of enterprise AI products designed to build an open agentic cloud. The move signals a significant push to provide the infrastructure, platforms, and industry solutions necessary for the widespread adoption of AI agents in enterprises. Dr. Peter Zhou, Director of the Board at Huawei and CEO of Huawei Cloud, emphasized the strategy to strengthen the silicon bedrock on the cloud and reinforce the foundation for agentic AI.
Central to the announcement is the global launch of the latest AI Cluster Service (AICS), which supports over 40 days of stable training on cloud and fault recovery within 10 minutes. It delivers 20% higher token throughput than the previous generation and will be commercially available in China on September 30 and in international markets on November 30. The Context Memory Storage (CMS) solution addresses long-horizon agent tasks with petabyte-scale memory and 50% higher performance than industry peers. These infrastructure advancements are part of Huawei Cloud's Agentic Infra paradigm, which has already served over 3,500 customers.
Huawei Cloud also highlighted its Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform, which allows developers to invoke state-of-the-art models from leading providers with one click and no deployment required. At the event, MiniMax demonstrated its advanced multimodal model, integrated with Huawei Cloud to deliver open, cutting-edge capabilities. This approach aims to accelerate model capabilities as services at scale, reducing barriers for enterprises to leverage advanced AI.
The AgentArts enterprise-grade agent platform, along with its open-source edition openJiuwen, opens up more than 5,000 general Model Context Protocol (MCP) assets and over 1,000 industry-specific MCP assets. It has already served over 100 customers, including the Shenzhen Longgang District Government, China Southern Power Grid, and Kingsoft Office. Kingsoft Office shared its implementation practices, having built vertical office agents deployed across finance and government sectors. AgentArts will be commercially available outside China on December 30. The openJiuwen community has surpassed 50,000 stars and 3.29 million downloads, reflecting strong developer engagement.
Furthermore, the Industry AI Foundry has accumulated more than 1,000 industry assets and over 1,000 deployed projects across five zones: Smart Healthcare, Embodied AI, AI for Science, Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Finance. Two new zones were launched: Smart Government Zone, with 24 founding partners, and AI Hardware Zone, with 15 core partners covering over 20 device types. These efforts aim to turn industry know-how into reusable capabilities, driving agents toward large-scale adoption.
