LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) (FSE: 3WK0) has announced the appointments of Paul Ténière, Peter Espig and Jeff Swinoga to its board of directors, effective immediately, as the company accelerates development of its Swanson Gold Project and prepares to restart gold production at the Beacon Gold Mill in Val-d'Or, Quebec. The new directors bring extensive experience across mining operations, capital markets and corporate leadership, strengthening governance and strategic oversight during this critical phase.
According to the company, Paul Ténière is a seasoned mining executive with over 35 years of experience in mine operations, project development and corporate strategy. Peter Espig brings deep capital markets expertise, having served as a senior executive at several mining-focused investment banks. Jeff Swinoga adds significant corporate leadership and financial management experience from his roles in the resource sector. Their appointments come as LaFleur transitions from exploration to development and production.
The company also announced that Preet Gill and Harveer Sidhu have resigned from the board effective March 15, 2026. The board changes are part of LaFleur's strategy to align its governance with the company's next stage of growth, which includes advancing the Swanson Gold Project and restarting the Beacon Gold Mill.
LaFleur Minerals is focused on district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi Gold Belt near Val-d'Or, Québec. The Swanson Gold Project spans approximately 18,304 hectares (183 km²) and includes several gold and critical metals prospects previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The company has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break hosting the Swanson, Bartec and Jolin gold deposits, among other showings. The project is easily accessible by road, providing direct access to several nearby gold mills, enhancing its development potential.
The fully-permitted and refurbished Beacon Gold Mill is capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day. LaFleur is considering using the mill to process mineralized material from Swanson and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects. The planned restart of the mill is a key milestone that could generate early cash flow for the company.
