Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSXV: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) has reported the first assay results from its maiden reverse-circulation drilling program at the West Santa Fe Project in Nevada's Walker Lane. The results confirm historic drilling and indicate a shallow, thick intercept of oxide gold and silver mineralization, supporting the potential for a disseminated gold-silver system.
Highlighting the program, hole WSF25-06R returned 54.9 meters grading 1.00 g/t gold equivalent, including 16.8 meters grading 1.75 g/t gold equivalent. The intercepts showed significant silver mineralization, with individual assays up to 176 g/t silver. The company stated that these results validate historic drilling data and demonstrate the potential for a shallow, oxidized system at West Santa Fe.
Lahontan Gold is advancing the West Santa Fe project alongside its nearby Santa Fe Mine Project, which has past production of 359,202 ounces of gold and 702,067 ounces of silver from open pit mines using heap-leach processing. The Santa Fe Mine project hosts a NI 43-101 compliant Indicated Mineral Resource of 1,539,000 oz Au Eq and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 411,000 oz Au Eq. The company plans to update the Santa Fe Preliminary Economic Assessment and continue drilling at West Santa Fe during 2025.

The company's flagship Santa Fe Mine project has a Preliminary Economic Assessment and NI 43-101 Technical Report dated January 24, 2025, available on SEDAR+.
These results are significant as they confirm the presence of shallow oxide mineralization at West Santa Fe, which could potentially enhance the overall resource base and economics of Lahontan's projects in the Walker Lane region. The company's focus on advancing both the Santa Fe and West Santa Fe projects positions it for potential production growth.
