The MOU, executed through LataMed AI's Venezuelan subsidiary LATAMEDAI VE, outlines a collaboration to design, adapt, test, and evaluate a software platform tailored to FARMASER's operational needs.
Under the agreement, the parties will define technical and operational requirements, adapt the software to FARMASER's workflows, and establish a phased development and testing process. The proposed platform is intended to support e-commerce, prescription management, customer service, inventory planning, and business analytics. Additionally, LataMed AI and FARMASER will evaluate integrating the Company's AI-supported healthcare technologies—CardioAI, PulmoAI, and NeuroAI—across FARMASER's three existing pharmacy locations and up to 15 planned additional locations. These AI models are designed to assist in cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neurological health information and digital health services, subject to development, testing, regulatory requirements, and clinical protocols.
LataMed AI emphasized that any prescription-related or AI-supported functionality would be designed to assist administrative, operational, and healthcare workflows without replacing the professional judgment of authorized pharmacists or medical professionals. The companies are also considering an annual software licensing or subscription model for commercial implementation, though no final terms have been set.
