As communities across the Texas Hill Country face another round of devastating flooding, LiftFund has launched the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to provide critical financial support to small businesses and nonprofits. The program, announced in response to the July 2026 floods, offers grants of up to $10,000 to eligible organizations struggling to recover from the latest damage. Many businesses were still rebuilding from last year's floods when new storms struck, compounding their financial and operational hardships.
Eligible applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, and be located in one of 16 affected counties: Bandera, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, or Uvalde. The grants can be used for rebuilding, repairing or replacing damaged equipment, and covering general operating expenses. Applicants must demonstrate they experienced a negative economic impact from the July 2026 floods.

Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million to Hill Country small businesses. For more than three decades, the nonprofit has specialized in disaster recovery, helping entrepreneurs recover from hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Its purpose-built systems focus on speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital.
“Every small business that reopens strengthens its community,” Hereford said. “When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.” LiftFund is also collaborating with philanthropic organizations, corporate partners, and community leaders to expand recovery resources, aiming to increase access to affordable financing, grants, and business support services.
