The Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival will celebrate its 12th year on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park in Vallejo, California. The event, produced by Hyperion Community Partners LLC in partnership with the City of Vallejo, draws thousands of attendees each year for a day of recreation, entertainment, and community gathering.
From daybreak to sundown, the festival offers a variety of activities for all ages. Highlights include the Annual Maritime Dog Parade, interactive exhibits with the Wholly Wackers (sheep), rescued reptiles, a Kids Zone, Giant Kites, Classic Cars, cultural performances, and live music. Attendees can also explore an array of peddlers and merchants offering handmade goods, food trucks, and wellness activities.
As evening falls, the festival transforms into a family-friendly Night Market, with an international food court serving diverse cuisines, shopping opportunities, and live entertainment. The night culminates in a Lighted Sky Show with a grand finale, celebrating the 250th anniversary of Independence Day.
The event takes place on Vallejo's waterfront, offering scenic views of Mare Island and its historic ships.
