MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group revenues of EUR 386.4 million for the first half of 2026, an increase of 5.0% from EUR 368.1 million in the same period last year. Group EBIT improved by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million, compared to EUR 22.4 million in the previous year. The company treated 54,708 patients during the period, up from 53,183 a year ago.
CFO Tino Fritz attributed the performance to consistent momentum from the first quarter, stating, "Stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter." The company remains focused on maintaining this momentum to strengthen long-term growth.
In the Post-Acute segment, revenues rose 4.6% to EUR 263.0 million, with EBIT increasing to EUR 25.6 million from EUR 23.3 million. The cost of materials ratio improved to 19.0% from 20.0%, though staff costs increased 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, raising the staff costs ratio to 55.2% from 53.9%. The Acute Care segment saw revenue grow 6.3% to EUR 111.2 million, but EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the prior year, as cost of materials rose 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million. The Care segment generated revenue of EUR 12.3 million, with EBIT improving to EUR 0.2 million from EUR -0.2 million. The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million, compared to EUR 68.5 million, and EBIT increased to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.
For the full financial year, management expects consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% and group EBIT between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as at 30 June 2026 is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.
