Morad Shaker Chooses Wyoming as U.S. Base for Global Poverty-Reduction Initiative

International entrepreneur and humanitarian Morad Shaker has announced the selection of Cheyenne, Wyoming, as the U.S. headquarters for his expanding network of nonprofit organizations and global humanitarian initiatives. This decision marks a strategic pivot after nearly three decades in Hawaii and eight months in Asia, placing Wyoming at the center of his future international operations.

Shaker's new physical base in Cheyenne will serve as the coordination point for multiple organizations within his network. "Hawaii will always remain an important part of my life and history. Today, Wyoming is home. We will serve Wyoming, and from Wyoming, we will serve the world," Shaker said.

Central to his work is the Shaker Global Poverty Reduction Ecosystem, which he describes as the largest undertaking of his life. Originally slated to launch in Bangladesh under Operation Bangladesh, the initiative faced delays due to on-ground challenges. Rather than abandoning the mission, Shaker expanded its scope to encompass an estimated 30 or more countries, with phased activities planned across 2026 and 2027. "The circumstances changed, but the mission did not," Shaker said. "What was intended to begin in one country has evolved into an opportunity for many nations."

The evolution of the initiative includes Operation Bangladesh - Phoenix Passage, an emerging youth movement designed to engage a new generation across more than 30 countries on themes of opportunity, leadership, integrity, service, and responsibility. This is part of the broader Shaker Global Network, which encompasses poverty reduction, humanitarian service, youth engagement, educational opportunity, animal protection, integrity and anti-corruption, emergency response, and recognition of service.

Shaker's commitment to Wyoming includes a direct allocation of access for 50,000 qualified residents to participate in the Global Poverty Reduction Ecosystem. This allocation is designed to give Wyoming a defined place within the international framework, subject to eligibility, verification, integrity, legal, and implementation requirements. "If Wyoming is going to be our home, I want Wyoming to share meaningfully in what we build," Shaker said. "I don't want Wyoming simply to be the address of our headquarters. I want its people to have a place in our future."

As Shaker establishes a lasting institutional presence in Cheyenne, his operations are set to expand globally. The decision underscores a commitment to serve both local and international communities, with a philosophy of "Headquartered in Wyoming. Serving Wyoming. Serving the world."
