Financial educator and entrepreneur Nettie Reeves is launching the Pretty Broke Movement, a national financial empowerment initiative with a bold mission to help one million women move from financial uncertainty to financial confidence. The movement, inspired by her chapter in the Amazon #1 best-selling book Financial Trendsetters 4, addresses what she calls the hidden financial crisis facing women: the tendency to invest heavily in appearance and care for others while neglecting personal wealth building.
Reeves, CEO of In Shape Financial Solutions, argues that many women inherited financial barriers they did not create. For generations, women were encouraged to focus on looking good and supporting their families, often with little education about building wealth or securing their financial future. The Pretty Broke Movement seeks to change that narrative.
“Pretty Broke isn't about criticizing women or how they choose to spend their money,” Reeves said. “It's about helping women realize they deserve to invest in their financial future with the same confidence they invest in every other part of their lives. You may not have written the first chapters of your financial story, but you have the power to write what comes next.”
