North Atlantic Titanium Corp. (CSE: NATO) (OTCQB: NATQ.F) (FSE: Y33) has released further details regarding its application for drilling permits at the Everett Titanium-Vanadium-Phosphate project near Havre-Saint-Pierre, Quebec. The company is pursuing a three-year drilling program totaling approximately 25,000 meters, focused on the northern portion of the Everett oxide body. This follows a previous news release from July 14, 2026.
The decision to concentrate drilling on the northern area is supported by a compelling mineralogical characterization of metallurgical samples conducted by Corem (Consortium de recherche en traitement de mineral), combined with recent verification work by North Atlantic Titanium of historical sampling. Corem analyzed a composite metallurgical sample from 57 sites across the Everett oxide body and reported that approximately 99% of oxide minerals in the composite consist of high-quality hemo-ilmenite, characterized by very low magnesium, manganese, and aluminum impurities.
Rather than being a direct analogue of the nearby massive hemo-ilmenite orebody at the Lac Tio Mine, the Everett Oxide Body is being drill-tested not only for its TiO2 content but also for its low Mg/Mn/Cr hemo-ilmenite, apatite as a potential phosphate coproduct, and vanadium—with potential scandium credits—as opportunities for process enhancement and future by-product recovery. The project therefore represents a broader Fe-Ti-V-P critical-minerals opportunity than that of a conventional titanium orebody.
The company holds the 2,406-hectare Everett property under option from Romaine River Titanium Inc. Pending on behalf of Romaine River and the company are a PAF (Permit for Forestry Activities) and an ATI (Permit for Work with Impact) for the drilling campaign only. After obtaining permits, the company will engage in and finance drilling in success-contingent stages. While awaiting responses regarding the drill permitting, the company is continuing surface exploration and metallurgical sampling.
The diamond drilling plans focus on confirming the 1951 and 1968 diamond drilling in the northern area of the exposed Everett Oxide Body, totaling approximately 25,000 meters across 20 drill pads, to be completed in three years or less. The northern area represents about 50% of the Everett Oxide Body's tested surface strike length. The targeted body dips gently, about 20-30°, to the ESE.
Stage 1 under the ATI application will comprise 6,000 meters of widely spaced, west-oriented drilling between Section 9N and 19N along a swath 1,320 meters along strike and 600 meters down-dip. This first stage will delineate the Oxide Body limits in the northern area, collect samples for assay and metallurgical analyses, and frame the follow-up drilling. Stage 2 under the ATI application will comprise success-contingent, west-oriented infill drilling to define a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), requiring about 19,000 meters of diamond drilling. Stage 1 drilling will commence upon acceptance of the ATI application, and Stage 2 will likely begin in the late winter of 2026-27.
The Corem composite metallurgical sample contained massive Ti-Oxide mineralization grading 37.0% Fe2O3, 17.4% TiO2, 0.18% V2O5 and 2.27% P2O5. Corem results determine that over 99% of the oxides in the composite sample are hemo-ilmenite (FeTiO3). Together, the hemo-ilmenite and apatite comprise over 50% of the sample.
