The Group Two study will evaluate the safety, distance, and near vision performance of the lens, moving beyond the safety-only focus of Group One.
Group One surgeries, performed in Fall 2025, met and exceeded the company's expectations regarding safety, performance, and handling. Patients from that group are now reaching their 12-month follow-up visits, providing longer-term clinical data that will be crucial as the company advances its technology.
Group Two patients will receive the latest-generation Ocumetics Lens, which incorporates the company's most recent design advancements, and will be implanted using an enhanced delivery system. The Mexico City facility has begun identifying and recruiting eligible patients, with surgeries targeted for Fall 2026.
