The Outstanding Maternity Award and Outstanding Photo Award have concluded their 41st season, showcasing the power of photography to connect cultures and celebrate artistic excellence. Since its founding in 2014, the awards have become a global benchmark for family and maternity photography, dedicated to telling profound stories through images.
This season, photographers from 14 countries—Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States, and Uruguay—were recognized for their outstanding work. The international reach of the award underscores its mission to bring together diverse perspectives and highlight the universal language of visual storytelling.
Judging this season's entries were two acclaimed photographers: Yvonne C. Krystovsky from Germany and Wellington Fugisse from Brazil. Krystovsky, known for her minimalist and emotionally resonant style, brings a background in interior design and architecture to her work. Her accolades include top honors at the Black & White Minimalist Photography Prize, and her images have been featured in global outlets such as The Times and My Modern Met. Fugisse, with over 15 years of experience and more than a thousand events covered, is celebrated for his sensitivity in capturing real emotions. He is also a mentor and ambassador for major industry brands.
The significance of winning an award like this extends beyond personal achievement. For photographers, international recognition validates their artistic direction and enhances their credibility with potential clients. The award's seal serves as a mark of trust and excellence, helping artists stand out in a competitive market.
The Outstanding Photo Award continues to fulfill its mission of shining a light on life's most beautiful narratives. As the organization looks ahead to Season 42, photographers are encouraged to submit their work. The submission portal is open at https://maternity.outstandingaward.com/eng/. This call to action invites artists worldwide to participate in the next celebration of photographic art.
