Safe Pro Group Demonstrates AI-Powered Threat Detection at U.S. Army Exercise

Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it has successfully completed participation in the U.S. Army’s Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PC-C6), a 10-day future warfare exercise at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. During the invite-only event, soldiers used the company’s backpack-sized Navigation Observation & Detection Engine-X (NODE-X) and OnSight software to analyze drone imagery, detect landmines and unexploded ordnance, and generate detailed battlefield maps that were shared across U.S. Army planning platforms to support operational decision-making.

Powered by Safe Pro’s patented Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) technology, NODE uses AI trained on more than 2.9 million real-world drone images to identify more than 150 types of explosive threats and objects of interest while operating without network connectivity. Safe Pro said the exercise provided an opportunity to demonstrate its edge-based threat detection and mapping capabilities to Army leaders evaluating technologies for future modernization and acquisition programs.

The successful completion of PC-C6 is significant because it validates Safe Pro’s technology in a realistic military environment, potentially leading to adoption by the U.S. Army. This could enhance soldier safety by providing rapid, automated threat detection that reduces reliance on manual methods. The ability to operate offline is critical for military operations in remote or contested areas. Furthermore, the integration with Army planning platforms suggests the technology could become a standard tool for battlefield intelligence.
