At the 13th Schaeffler Automotive Symposium, held June 15-17, 2026, at the new Project and Technology Center in Bühl, Germany, Schaeffler AG is unveiling its latest product innovations and technological developments under the theme “Beyond Driving. Innovation made by Schaeffler.” The event, attended by over 300 customers, marks the first time the company is showcasing its expanded competencies and product portfolio resulting from the integration of Vitesco Technologies, combining strengths in mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new expertise in electronics and sensors.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, emphasized the significance of the symposium: “Traditionally, the Schaeffler Automotive Symposium stands for lively discussions with customers and the opportunity to experience innovations and new technologies first-hand.” He noted that by 2035, Schaeffler aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue in new segments, while the core automotive business remains central. Rosenfeld also underscored the importance of Europe as a core market and innovation hub.
The transformation of mobility and heterogeneous market developments globally demand high innovative capacity, resilience, and speed to market. Thomas Stierle, CEO E-Mobility at Schaeffler AG, stated, “With our broad portfolio, our global presence and local supply chains, and our pronounced systems expertise, we consistently transfer innovations to mass production. In this way, we are actively advancing the mobility transformation – toward higher efficiency and comprehensive electrification.”
Schaeffler positions itself as a technology partner on eye level, offering integrated product innovations for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers from a single source. Matthias Zink, CEO Powertrain & Chassis at Schaeffler AG, explained, “One of our core strengths is the system-based approach that we take to link functions intelligently to provide a better driving experience.” The company is presenting more than 320 products, grouped into four technology clusters: Vehicle Control, Chassis & Body, Powertrain, and Energy Management. For commercial vehicles, zero-emission solutions for battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), fuel cell-electric vehicles (FCEVs), and hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (H2-ICE) are highlighted. In the two-wheeler segment, bearings, engine control units, automatic transmissions, and connectivity solutions are on display.
The symposium is a global event, held every four years. Following the European stop in Bühl, it will continue in Detroit, USA on September 17; Suzhou, China from November 4-6; and Tokyo, Japan on December 2-3.
