Seven HKTDC Mega Events to Open Next Week, Showcasing Global Lifestyle and Licensing Trends

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will launch seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events next week, from 27 to 30 April, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. These concurrent events aim to leverage Hong Kong's unique connectivity between the Chinese mainland and international markets, reinforcing the city's position as a regional creative hub and international business centre, while aligning with the national 15th Five-Year Plan and dual circulation development strategy.

According to HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo, the HKTDC has long facilitated trade exchanges across industries through organising conferences and exhibitions, fulfilling Hong Kong's roles as a super connector and super value-adder. The seven mega events are expected to attract some 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time exhibitors from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. New pavilions from regions such as Xinjiang, Wuhan, Shanxi, Jilin, and Zhejiang will feature, with the Zhejiang pavilion, organised by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, bringing together 50 local enterprises.

A key highlight this year is the debut of the Reimagine themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, which seamlessly connects the innovative, design and cultural creative elements of the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle. This floor enables buyers to gain a one-stop overview of the latest global lifestyle homeware and gifting trends. It houses several highlighted zones, including the new Selection of ASEAN and The Bespoke Hub, the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards, the Cultural and Creative Avenue, and the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion. The Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards, organised by the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), will hold its grand finale during the Gifts & Premium Fair.

Home InStyle will showcase innovative materials applied to the homeware and home textiles market for the first time, with the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion featuring over 20 local exhibitors. The fair will also host seminars on the silver economy, market trends, culture and innovation, and sustainability. Fashion InStyle will feature multiple exhibition zones, including the highlighted NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, which this year partners with the Philippines as its featured partner, bringing over 25 Philippine exhibitors. NEXT has invited Han Chong, founder and creative director of Self-Portrait, as project ambassador to lead six local designer brands in cross-disciplinary design projects.

The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will present new products in smart packaging and innovative materials, with a spotlight on advanced RFID and anti-counterfeiting packaging technologies. The popular Green Printing & Packaging Solutions Zone returns to facilitate buyers in identifying eco-friendly packaging options. The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, now in its 23rd edition, brings together over 600 brands and intellectual properties (IPs) from multiple countries and regions. A new IP and e-Commerce Support Services Zone debuts, bringing together e-commerce platforms, KOLs, marketing and PR firms to help brands and IPs expand into e-commerce markets. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference, themed "Connecting Creativity, Unlocking Licensing Power," will feature sessions on global licensing trends, the rise of Fugglers in the emotional economy, and sports licensing strategies.

All events will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, with AI-powered business matching via Click2Match and Scan2Match, and a new on-site SmartBot service for personalised visit routes. For more details, visit the HKTDC newsroom at http://mediaroom.hktdc.com/en.
