SS Innovations to Host Global Robotic Surgery Conference in New Delhi, Showcasing Battlefield Drone and Telesurgery Innovations

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced it will host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India, from April 9-11, 2026. The event is expected to draw over 1,400 attendees and 600 virtual participants from more than 17 nations, surpassing last year's turnout. The conference will unite surgeons, thought leaders, and innovators to shape the future of robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

Key highlights include more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, spanning multiple specialties. These demonstrations will explore critical aspects of telesurgery such as connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols. Among the procedures, several will utilize the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact, chair-based version of the standard surgeon command center that enhances portability and enables telesurgeries from various settings, including physician offices.

A major innovation to be showcased is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a drone-deployed trauma surgery platform currently under development. Designed to bring expert robotic surgical care to wounded soldiers in active battle zones, the system lands near casualties and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom. A trauma surgeon remotely operates the system, equipped with 5mm instruments, to address hemorrhaging, wound repair, and other procedures, helping stabilize patients until evacuation. This technology aims to bridge the critical time gap between injury and medical evacuation from frontlines.

Another featured concept is Project Operion, an interactive display of the “Operating Room of the Future,” focusing on mobile high-tech surgical infrastructure and telesurgery integration. The MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit, a bus designed to bring specialized surgical care to underserved communities, will also be on display. The conference will include multispecialty and cardiac-focused sessions, covering urology, thoracic, gastroenterology, head and neck, gynecology, colorectal, general, and pediatric surgery.

Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, Vice-Chairman of SS Innovations and widely recognized as the “Father of Robotic Surgery,” along with Sri Madhusudan Sai, a global humanitarian; Dr. Naresh Treahan, Managing Director of Medanta; Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of ISRO Satellite Center; and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari, Chairman of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine. Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, “We are thrilled to host SMRSC 2026... global experts in surgical robotic care will convene to discuss innovation and the future of our field.”

The conference will take place at West Plaza, Bharat Mandapam. More information is available at https://ssinnovations.com/SMRSC_2026/about/ and registration at https://ssinnovations.com/SMRSC_2026/register/.
