The Harvest Table, a South African wellness brand known for its clean-label products, is set to participate in the 2026 ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session, scheduled for September 14-17 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The company aims to leverage this platform to expand its footprint in the United States by emphasizing transparency and simplicity in a market saturated with complex formulations and bold marketing claims.
Founder Catherine Clark highlighted the growing challenge for consumers navigating the crowded wellness category. "The wellness category has become incredibly crowded, and consumers are being asked to navigate more products and more marketing messages than ever before," she said. "We believe the answer isn't necessarily more ingredients or more complicated formulations. It's creating quality products with purpose and being transparent about what's inside them."
The Harvest Table's philosophy centers on looking beyond front-of-package marketing to the actual ingredients. The company focuses on carefully selected components and straightforward formulations designed for everyday use. For instance, its Grass Fed Bovine Collagen Granules offer Types I and III collagen from grass-fed sources in a tasteless, instant-dissolving formula free from added gums, fillers, preservatives, artificial flavors, or dyes. Alternatively, Multi Collagen Radiance combines Types I, III, V, and X collagen with Vitamin C, Zinc, and Cranberry for a more comprehensive option. Plant-based consumers can choose Vegan Protein, which also avoids unnecessary additives.
A key differentiator for The Harvest Table is its in-house manufacturing. The company produces its products at a custom-built facility in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, ensuring direct oversight of sourcing, formulation, and quality. This facility undergoes annual Food Safety Assessment (FSA) audits, meets GMP manufacturing requirements, and is recognized as a Food Safe Facility, with Halal certification for applicable markets.
CEO Sam Clark emphasized the importance of control. "Quality isn't something we want to add to a marketing message after a product has been developed," he said. "It starts with the ingredients we choose, continues through how we formulate and manufacture the product, and ultimately shows up in what the consumer receives. Maintaining that control is an important part of who we are."
The Harvest Table has already taken steps in its U.S. expansion, with its initial product range available on Amazon, including Multi Collagen Radiance, Bovine Collagen Granules, and Vegan Protein. Participation in ECRM allows the company to introduce its products and philosophy to the U.S. retail community, sharing the story of a family-run business that has maintained its principles while growing.
In a market where consumers have more choices than ever, Clark believes simplicity and trust are key. "We don't believe consumers need more noise," she said. "They need products they can understand and brands they can trust. That's the approach that built The Harvest Table in South Africa, and it's the same approach we're bringing to the United States."
