Trailbreaker Resources Completes Maiden Drill Program at Swan Zone, Atsutla Gold Project

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the completion of its maiden drill program at the Swan Zone, part of the company’s 100%-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia. The program comprised two diamond drill holes totaling 801 meters, targeting a 1.5 km by 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly coincident with a 2.1 km by 1.4 km chargeability anomaly. The Swan Zone is a Cu-Au-Ag porphyry target, and this initial drilling tested a strike length of 1,000 meters and a vertical extent of 395 meters.

The completion of this drill program is a pivotal step for Trailbreaker as it tests targets that have been developed over five years. The Swan Zone is hosted in the Cretaceous Glundebery batholith, distinct from the Highlands Zone, which is located 26 km away in the Jurassic Christmas Creek batholith. The Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target, was also drilled earlier in the season, with four holes totaling 883.40 meters. These two zones represent different mineralization styles, providing the company with diverse exploration opportunities.

According to Daithi Mac Gearailt, President and CEO of Trailbreaker, the program was well-executed and achieved its goals within budget. 'This was a first-pass, exploratory program, and we achieved our goals while remaining within budget,' he said. The company now awaits assay results from 1,000 core samples submitted to Bureau Veritas in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The Atsutla Gold Project is centered over the regional-scale Teslin-Thibert fault system, which marks the contact between the Quesnel and Cache Creek terranes. Since discovery in 2020, Trailbreaker has outlined five significant zones of gold mineralization across a span of 26 kilometers. The Swan Zone is defined by a 1.5 km by 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly with rock grab samples grading up to 11.7 g/t Au, 212 g/t Ag, and 0.81% Cu. This anomaly is coincident with a donut-shaped chargeability high from a 2024 induced polarization survey and a magnetic low signature from a 2024 airborne magnetic and radiometric survey.

The results from the Swan Zone drilling will be critical in assessing the porphyry potential of the project. Porphyry deposits are large, low-grade systems that can be economically significant if mineralization is extensive. The company also plans to release results from the Highlands Zone drilling, which targeted high-grade vein mineralization with samples assaying up to 630 g/t Au and 1,894 g/t Ag.

Trailbreaker Resources is a mining exploration company focused on British Columbia and Yukon Territory. The company maintains a portfolio of quality mineral properties and has an experienced management team with a track record in exploration and development across North America. The completion of this drill program marks a significant milestone in the advancement of the Atsutla Gold Project, and the market will be watching closely for the assay results.
