VERAXA Biotech Highlights BiTAC Cancer Platforms at BIO International Convention

VERAXA Biotech (NASDAQ: VRXA) is highlighting partnering opportunities for its proprietary BiTAC-ADC and BiTAC-TCE technology platforms ahead of the BIO International Convention, taking place June 22-25 in San Diego. The company recently reported new proof-of-concept data supporting its BiTAC-ADC platform, which is designed to improve cancer treatment precision through tumor-restricted activation of therapeutic agents while minimizing off-target toxicity.

VERAXA said the findings, together with previously presented BiTAC-TCE data unveiled at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting in April 2026, support the potential of two differentiated cancer therapy platforms that may be applicable across multiple solid tumor indications. Management plans to discuss partnering opportunities for both technologies at the BIO International Convention.

The BiTAC-ADC platform uses a bispecific antibody to deliver a cytotoxic payload specifically to tumor cells, with activation occurring only in the tumor microenvironment. This approach aims to reduce systemic toxicity commonly associated with traditional ADCs. The BiTAC-TCE platform, meanwhile, engages T cells to kill cancer cells through a bispecific T cell engager format. Together, these platforms represent a comprehensive strategy for tackling solid tumors.

VERAXA was founded on scientific breakthroughs made at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), a world-renowned institution known for pioneering life science research. The company is building a pipeline of ADCs and proprietary BiTAC formats, applying rigorous quality-by-design principles to advance them into clinical development.
