VinFast and GSM have announced significant leadership changes, with Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh assuming the role of CEO of VinFast Global, succeeding Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, while also taking on the positions of Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam. At GSM, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan has been appointed Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong, and Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will become CEO of GSM Global and concurrently CEO of GSM Vietnam. These appointments reflect a broader initiative within Vingroup to transition leadership responsibilities to a younger generation as the companies enter a period of strong global growth.

The leadership transition is critical for both companies as they scale internationally. VinFast, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Its electric cars and motorcycles are produced at four facilities across Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. GSM, which operates the green mobility brand Green SM, is present in seven countries—Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, and Denmark—and plans to expand into at least three additional markets this year. GSM also aims to become a publicly listed company on an international stock exchange.

Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University and has held key leadership roles at VinFast and other Vingroup companies. He was appointed Chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026 and has been instrumental in VinFast's domestic and international growth. In his new role, he will have comprehensive responsibility for all VinFast operations. He also continues as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC. In a statement, he said, "I am deeply honored by the Board of Directors' trust and confidence in entrusting me with the additional responsibility. Built on a strong foundation established over the years and supported by the growing confidence of customers across our markets, VinFast is well positioned to seize the significant opportunities ahead and further strengthen its role in advancing the global transition to sustainable mobility."

At GSM, Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, has held senior positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, GSM, and other companies. He has also invested in and serves as a major shareholder of several industrial, technology, energy, and infrastructure companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures, and robotics companies. His appointment, along with Mr. Tuan's, positions GSM for its next phase of growth and potential public listing.

These leadership changes are of particular importance as they address the demanding requirements of the companies' next development phase and reflect positive expectations for their futures. The transition to younger leaders is part of Vingroup's strategy to cultivate in-house talent and ensure continuity as VinFast and GSM continue their international expansion.
