VinRobotics and Infineon Partner to Advance Next-Generation Robotics Through Competency Center

HANOI, VIETNAM – VinRobotics, Vingroup's robotics company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Infineon Technologies AG to explore collaboration on next-generation robotics applications. The partnership aims to establish the VinRobotics-Infineon Competency Center (VRICC) at VinRobotics' facilities, serving as a platform for technical exchange and co-innovation. Infineon will participate in VinRobotics' projects from early stages, combining engineering strengths and connecting with the global robotics ecosystem.

Under the VRICC framework, VinRobotics will prioritize evaluating Infineon's advanced semiconductor solutions across its robotics platforms. Infineon will share expertise and contribute to training for VinRobotics' R&D personnel, while both parties identify areas for future engagement. This collaboration reflects the accelerating global robotics and automation trends, aligning with VinRobotics' strategy to expand R&D capabilities and strengthen ties with global technology partners.

Mr. Ngo Quoc Hung, CEO of VinRobotics, stated: "We highly value the opportunity to engage with Infineon, a global technology leader with world-class semiconductor expertise and a strong technology ecosystem. The VRICC is intended to provide a meaningful platform for our teams to learn from Infineon's expertise, evaluate emerging semiconductor technologies, and explore areas of mutual interest." He emphasized that initiatives like this help lay the foundation for a new generation of robotics solutions developed in Vietnam, serving both domestic and international markets.

Philipp von Schiersteadt, Chief Sales Officer at Infineon, said: "As a global semiconductor leader and trusted partner to the robotics market, we support our customers from idea to mass production, helping them tackle critical deployment requirements such as efficient power flow, balanced movement, dexterity, robustness and safety. Our collaboration with VinRobotics will focus on accelerating the development of next-generation humanoid robots for deployment in various sectors, from industry to services and the home."

Established in November 2024, VinRobotics is a pioneer in Vietnam's robotics industry, focusing on next-generation platforms for industrial and daily life applications. Infineon, with around 57,000 employees and revenue of about €14.7 billion in fiscal 2025, drives decarbonization and digitalization through its products. This partnership underscores the growing role of Vietnamese enterprises in global technology collaboration.
